Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

InsightCore Analytics Inc. ("InsightCore", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) where applicable, and other applicable Canadian provincial privacy legislation. This policy is provided for general information and is not legal advice.

1. Accountability

InsightCore is responsible for personal information under our control. We have designated a privacy officer who can be reached at [email protected] or at 1055 West Georgia Street, Suite 1500, Vancouver, BC V6E 3P3.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact details you provide through our enquiry form: full name, email address and phone number.
  • Enquiry details: solution of interest, team size, budget range, preferred consultation date and any message you send us.
  • Project data: where you engage us, datasets, dashboards or materials you share with us for analytics development, handled under a separate written agreement.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, referring URLs and pages visited on insightcore.one.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to remember preferences and measure site traffic (see Section 6).

3. Why we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and prepare feasibility assessments, quotes and statements of work.
  • To deliver, evaluate and improve our business intelligence, analytics and related services.
  • To send relevant updates and marketing where you have given express or implied consent, in compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
  • To meet legal, accounting, tax and security obligations applicable in British Columbia and Canada.

4. Consent and legal basis

We collect, use and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, in accordance with PIPEDA's ten fair information principles and PIPA where it applies to our activities in British Columbia. Consent may be express (for example, when you submit an enquiry form) or implied (for example, when you contact us by email about a service we offer). You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. Withdrawal of consent may limit our ability to provide services.

5. Limiting collection, use and disclosure

We collect only the personal information reasonably necessary for the purposes identified in this policy. We do not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with your consent or as required or permitted by law.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our cookie banner lets you acknowledge our use of cookies. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how insightcore.one is used — including page views, session duration and referral sources. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some site features. We do not use cookies to track you across unrelated third-party websites for advertising purposes.

7. Third parties and cross-border transfers

We share information only with service providers that help us operate — such as cloud hosting, analytics, email and CRM partners — under agreements requiring appropriate safeguards and use limitations. We do not sell personal information. Where data is processed outside British Columbia or Canada (for example, on cloud infrastructure in the United States), we take contractual and organizational steps to ensure comparable protection consistent with PIPEDA and PIPA requirements, including assessing the sensitivity of the information and the purposes of the transfer.

8. Client data and analytics projects

Data you provide for a specific engagement is used only to develop, deliver and support analytics deliverables for that engagement, under the terms of your written agreement. We do not reuse client data to build models, benchmarks or dashboards for other clients without explicit, documented consent. Where we process personal information on your behalf as a service provider, we act according to your instructions and our data processing agreement.

9. Safeguards

We protect personal information with administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity — including access controls, encryption in transit, secure development practices and staff confidentiality obligations. While no system is completely secure, we review and update our safeguards regularly.

10. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Enquiry records are generally retained for up to 24 months unless an ongoing relationship requires longer retention. Project data is retained as set out in the relevant engagement agreement and applicable record-keeping requirements.

11. Accuracy and openness

We take reasonable steps to ensure personal information is accurate, complete and up to date. We make information about our privacy practices readily available through this policy and will respond to questions about our policies and procedures.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Withdrawal of consent to further use, subject to legal and contractual limits.
  • Challenge compliance with this policy by contacting our privacy officer.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia at oipc.bc.ca, as applicable.

13. Breach notification

In the event of a breach of security safeguards involving personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and report to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (and the BC Commissioner where required under PIPA) as required by law.

14. Children

Our services and website are directed at business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
